The interiors ministry

Meet the interiors mastermind behind the design of all our properties

Having worked with the brilliant interior designer Fanny Ward on the wonderful project that was Achnahatnich House, we thought we would share this throwback video to where this beautiful relationship all began. Here Fanny talks about her plans for Loch an Eilein Cottage when it was still very much a work in progress. Fabulous to see how far we have now come, with Loch an Eilein Cottage now having been open for 3 years, joined in 2017 by Forest Cottage.

Since then we have welcomed back many guests for return visits. We are now of course thrilled to have taken our first bookings for Achnahatnich House - unsurprisingly from guests who have enjoyed their stays at the other properties.

Fanny has now brought her magic to Achnahatnich House, with its striking white wooden panelling, blue and white and grey colour scheme (with pops of yellow here and there). As with Loch an Eilein Cottage, she has made the most of the views out across the estate and has added quirky but utterly glorious touches - like the statement chandelier above the staircase and lots of vintage blue and white plates on the walls.

It is pure delight and an education in itself to work with a professional like Fanny. Shortly after our recent photo shoot she jetted back to London and from there to Milan - to benefit from her expertise in our dreamy little corner of the Highlands is truly a breath of cosmopolitan air!
