Get away from it all at Cairn Valley, our remote self catering cottage that is completely surrounded by pine forests on Rothiemurchus. A rustic bothy, reimagined. The only neighbors you'll meet during your stay are the local pine martens and red squirrels.

You can wake up peacefully to the beautiful soundscapes of native birds and enjoy a cup tea on the window seat looking out to fairy tale-esque ruins on the hillside. No rush, but when you're ready to explore the surrounding area, enjoy a leisurely walk towards the loch. In just under 10 minutes you'll immersed in one of Scotland's best natural sites, Loch an Eilein. Here, you can feed the ducks, enjoy the serenity of vast loch and even get another warm drink from Hazel at the bothy.

It wouldn't be a romantic getaway in Scotland without a tub, right? After day enjoying the outdoors, you'll be met with the most indulgent tub for two, with a perfectly placed window to take in the views of the woodland outside. Then enjoy an evening by the wood burning stove, followed by crawling into the supremely comfortable superking bed for a restful night sleep.

You can make a stop to the Rothiemurchus Farm Shop for local supplies to do a bit of cooking or better yet, enjoy nourishing ready meals with no prep required.
